The wait staff were very friendly, attentive and quick. The drink orders related to the bar and sent to our table surprisingly promptly, despite being upstairs. The food was generally great! Only downsides were that the pork ribs were a touch dry (I can understand why, though: we were the earliest dinner booking, and pork ribs take approx. 6h to cook, so they must have just had to use the ones that went on first); there is a mixed platter for two, but not for one, so you either have to convince someone else to go halves in the share platter, or miss out on things; and the boerwors is only available on the share platter, no other way to order it (it tasted remarkably like bratwurst – I’m German, and it was just like home – when I’d usually expext a little more spice from a boerwors). Other than those minor things, this place is fantastic, right down to the great wine list, the beautiful steak knives with a solid heft in their stunning handles. Will definitely be back!
