We made a 5pm dinner booking before going to a show. Service from wait staff was good. Atmosphere was quiet which was expected at that time, until a couple with a young child were seated 5 metres from us, halfway through our meal. After being seated, we ordered our steaks straight away, one eye fillet ($55) and one grass fed rump ($32), ordered rare with a side of chips and salad. We have ordered bottles of wine in the past and after looking at the wine list, decided to forgo wine this time due to not finding anything we really liked, plus the mark up of prices is way more expensive than at other restaurants we’ve dined at. Our steaks arrived looking the same and I said to my partner, that I should have ordered the rump as it looked the same as my eye fillet. Both steaks were cooked as requested, they were nice but lacked a bit of flavour. When the bill was delivered, we had been charged for two eye fillets. This was corrected and the bill amended to $87. When I went to pay the bill, I had to mention The Fork discount that I had made the booking under, then it was applied. Overall, a nice restaurant but can’t afford to dine here without a discount.See photo
