So we took some business clients out to this restaurant in Perth. The setting was lovely the wine selection was ok but far from good. Reading some of the other reviews I had the expectation of going to a really good steakhouse… but if you like steak think you’ll be disappointed. I ordered $65 dollar 330 gram ribeye with a marble rating of 2 . I ordered a medium rare on the rare side … First of all my medium rare was pretty much well done … and I don’t mean as in… done-well… it was well-overcooked. Interestingly it was over cooked but not particularly caramelized on the outside so I’m not quite sure what cooking process is the using over in the kitchen…obviously not charcoal. But the most interesting part was I ordered a ribeye yeah I’m not sure what they call a ribeye in West Australia but most places I’ve ever been to You expect that there’s a rib and there is an eye fillet! I have had ribeye in the past where the bone has been removed but they usually tell you that in the description. The marble rating was two which isn’t that great to be quite honest but you’d still expected to be fairly tender which it was not. I asked the waiter whether he got me the wrong steak and he confirmed that that was in fact the ribeye. The waiter I never asked me or any of our guests if the steak was to our liking and seemed to be far too busy to pay much attention to the table. It wasn’t a terrible meal but it was disappointing to say the least. but it was definitely over priced and underwhelming… I wouldn’t go there again and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re a meat lover… especially if you love good or great steaks.
