Third time visiting Meat & Wine Co Perth, and have always enjoyed excellent food, drinks & service in the past. This time was so impressed at the service I just had to leave a review. Came for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon with family, only booked that morning and received a table for 8 with no problems. Seated in the back room – ask to sit here if you can; its more private than the front room and its the most gorgeous room (see photo of the ceiling!) The booth seating feels so private, like you’re the only ones in the restaurant. Straight away after being seated my 3 year old was handed a little colouring book & crayons. When I asked if they had anything like a strawberry smoothie (my 3 years old request!) and they didn’t – we ordered a kids lemonade instead. When the drinks arrived, the waiter (sorry that I didn’t get his name!) said there is a little surprise, and there was a strawberry in the lemonade, great attention to detail – its the little things like this that much impressed us 🙂 Drinks lovely, beautiful cocktails & nice wine list. Food – Sooooo delicious. Ordered a tasting platter to start, which says serves 3 to 5, but fed 7 easily with a little taste of everything each, we wanted to save room for mains! 4 of us shared 2 beef skewers & chips each, serves are quite large so this was plenty. Other three had a steak & pork ribs & another beef skewer, no complaints from anyone. All shared the Wedge Salad (this is soooo yum) and Onion Rings (crispy & very moreish.) 3 year old had chicken tenders & chips which he actually ate most of so must have been good! We were all so full; couldn’t fit in any desert, but I have had the creme brulee on a previous visit and it was divine! Only teeny tiny complaint would be there was quite a wait after entree was delivered/plates cleared & then mains arrived, but the rest of the experience made up for this. It cost us around $600 for 8 ppl but they were happy to split the bill. Well done Meat&wine Co perth; we will most definitely be back!!
