Went to Meat & Wine Co for lunch on a Sunday and was very surprised how busy they were.Our arrival – on time for our booking – could have been handled much better, I don’t know if it was inexperience or just at attitude problem, but it wasn’t the warmest or smoothest of arrivals.The service was OK during the lunch, but nothing special and certainly no warmth or enthusiasm shown by anyone.Our meals were enjoyable, but I wish that they had simply cooked my meat without their ‘signature’ basting – I didn’t enjoy it.There are certainly other options in Adelaide to have steak that I would prefer, and frankly with better service and for less than half the price. Let’s be honest, the prices here – food & wine – are over the top. When I am paying prices like this I expect a much better dining experience that this delivered.
