We had the issue that the wine we wanted from the list was not available (2015 Reyneke Reserve, Syrah – Stellenbosch) then we reluctantly chose the 2015 Boekenhoutskloof, Syrah – Franschhoek, which was also not available – only the 2016 vintage was offered. This is disappointing as we are wine lovers and do pay attention to what we drink (specific type and vintage). If your restaurant does not have the stock of wine advertised, then you should be updating your wine list. I could understand from time to time it could happen, but this was 2 wines in a row that we would now consider a case of “false advertising”.
