I had informed them that this booking was for an anniversary celebration and that I am lactose intolerant. They seated us at a corner table that required my wife and I to sit at right-angle to one another (ie not able to sit facing each other). They obviously have no idea of what a cosy anniversary dinner seating for a couple looks like.
The waitress serving us was clueless that I was lactose intolerant. When told of this dietary requirement she did however bring a colleague to assist and he did know what to advise.
Why bother asking us to state the dinner occasion when there was no regard to the occasion? Why bother to ask about dietary requirements when the person assigned to serve us obviously had no idea that there was one. It’s ridiculous, they should not pretend to want to know as the info provided for the above seemed to be purely for their stats/benefit and their clients should be happy just to be seated and het basic service.
