I’m not one to post negative reviews, however I would urge anyone who reads this not to order from here. Instead, give your money to an alternate local Italian restaurant who will place more value in their customers.
I placed a Menulog order for only two items of food with this restaurant at 4.30pm for a 5.30pm delivery. It gets to 6.10pm and the driver is still not on his way with the delivery time having changed 3 times, so I thought I’d call the restaurant to figure out what was going on as I only live a 7 minute drive from the restaurant.
Turns out there were issues with their system earlier that they were aware of which meant that another driver had to be sent to them who they were waiting on. A bit disappointing to hear they already knew about this issue a while before and hadn’t bothered to call the customer to give a heads up or apologise for the delay. It took until 6.50pm for us to receive our order and it was cold.
I would have thought that the restaurant, already being well aware of the issue and the delay, could have gained some good will and expressed some regret by including something extra with the delivery such as a desert to apologise for the issue. Other restaurants in the past have done this for me and I have always appreciated them going above and beyond in this way, something small but thoughtful.
I guess it shows you how much they value their customers, which is a bit of an indictment after they have had to suffer through 1.5 years of restrictions on dining due to COVID.
It is a shame as the food looked good, but you just don’t enjoy it after all that.
