Italian Street Kitchen-Maureen Jackson Ayre

I was there on Sunday Night for my birthday and it was the worst experience. Staff didn’t have our table ready even though it was a late booking and given the fact we were 15 minutes late, I found disappointing. The staff acted as if they didn’t want to be there. Threw our bottles of wine on the table and left. The entrees looked like they were the leftovers and so tiny, not even good enough to serve to children. The pizzas and pasta were ordinary and again, for the price, very tiny. To top it off I went to the bathrooms and they were in a disgusting state and the women’s toilet had no toilet paper in any of the 3 rolls per cubicle and there was toilet paper all over the floor. When I advised the staff they were apologetic and gave me the email address to the building managers. I wrote to them who then advised that it’s the restaurants responsibility to look after the toilets during the weekends when their staff are not there. So the staff just wanted to pass the buck instead of taking responsibility for the toilets your customer use. I suggested you and the other restaurants get together and organise a roster to keep the toilets in a clean and safe state for YOUR Customers, otherwise when an accident happens you’ll be sued. I found the whole experience very disappointment and will not be coming back. Word of mouth is your best advertisement and you won’t be getting me to recommend your restaurant to my family and friends.
