We frequently have dinner here, we love the place, the food, the ambience. We normally order our trusted favourites but decided to try the new item – the black garlic spaghetti. Unfortunately, it wasn’t too good for us.
The staff are always exceptional. The only reason I gave Service and Overall rating 3 stars this time, is because my husband had an offer he received in the mail sometime ago, in a form of a postcard from this restaurant, for a free glass of wine. He remembered to use it last night, but was told by staff that the Manager said this “offer” was “old and no longer valid”, and they “no longer had that wine”. Really? Good Customer service is where they could have said, “That’s an old offer and we no longer have that wine, but, we will honour it for you. Which wine would you like?”
What is a glass of wine worth versus disappointing a customer? And surely they could have asked which wine we preferred as an alternative? To think it was the Manager who made this decision. What a shame, he or she never even came to out table. The offer was an official Italian Street Kitchen postcard, not a third party offer.
If this review is read by the Manager I hope he or she can learn to be a better Manager, because staff take direction from you, and customers will always remember how they are treated.
