I was really looking forward to dining at Italian Street Kitchen, but my experience this evening was a little disappointing.
Our order was taken and repeated back to us but by the time our food arrived we still didn’t have our wine or mocktail and had to follow up. The wrong bottle of wine was brought out, without any wine glasses, and the bottle simply placed on the table. We then received our wine glasses and the correct bottle of wine, which we assumed would then be poured, but it was just left on the table.
While I don’t mind pouring my own wine, that experience combined with the team struggling to answer dietary questions for my friend, and not knowing what the dishes were they were bringing out left the service a little lacking.
I know hospitality has been hit hard these last few years and teams are thin with staff hard to come by. So I’m going to put our experience down to a young, new team and hope they continue to receive training and things improve, as the food had potential.
