I paid a visit to the restaurant in parramatta for my birthday celebration tonight with 2 other friends.
We sat down and decided to order the wagyu steaks. The staff in red shirt came to take our orders and told us that they are out of any wagyu steaks tonight. We then told her we will need more time to decide since we were not notified that it was not available. She was impatient and said “just so you know, the dining time has a limit of 2 hours”. We thought it was really rude since no one told us that it is not available and we have already made up our minds for it. We would obviously need some time to decide on another dish. It was really shocking and disappointing to us that the customer service was like this. It was my birthday but her attitude completely ruined my mood and the dining experience. We expected better service from Meat and Wine Co.
After our meal, when the staffs were clearing our table, for dessert, she was holding the steak knifes towards my partner and they came really close to his neck. I don’t think she noticed it at all since she did it again near his arm. We thought some training is required so staffs are more aware and to better prevent any injuries in the restaurant.
We had the lamb rump and it was absolutely delicious. Credits to the chef!!
