Great vibe at the Adelaide Meat & Wine Co – love the ropes and “tented areas” ! We went with our 90year old uncle to celebrate his birthday and we all loved it. For starters we shared the bruschetta (Roma tomato, avocado, oregano, basil and Parmesan on sourdough) – which is large enough for 4 to share – plus the Sonoma signature Miche sourdough, French cultured butter and extra virgin olive oil (delicious). For mains we had: New Yorker (Marble Score 2+) 300g (served with chips); Fillet 200g (served with chips and blue cheese sauce) – both steaks perfectly cooked as requested with the cuts of meat delicious. Plus two of us had one of the Favourites – Lamb Shoulder (Eggplant puree, pearl couscous, sun-dried tomatoes, chickpeas, chimichurri, harissa sauce and hemp seeds) – yummo! We ordered sides of Market Greens (beans with Szechuan spiced butter, lightly toasted almonds) which was so tasty; Wedge Salad (Iceberg lettuce, ranch dressing, crispy pancetta, blue cheese, tomato and crispy shallots) which was surprisingly good and not something I’d usually order) and Crunchy Chips (which were the only disappointing item on the table – lots of “shorts”, overcooked and filled with oil). Our waiter Will was attentive and professional. Drinks were well priced. A great ambiance.
