We used the Fork app make a booking for dinner here one night. Upon arriving, we were ignored at the entrance by two staff who kept talking to each other and trying to work out some issue with the till. When they finally noticed us, we showed them our reservation. Someone led us to a table in the corner, even though there were other, better located tables (for two) available. I ask to move to a different table, and that involved a conversation with someone else who let me know that the table was for people with a reservation. Um.. like us, maybe!? Oh that’s right, they forgot we had a reservation too. Anyways, we were finally seated at that better table, menus and water were provided, etc..We asked for a bottle of wine (this is not a BYO). Instead of a bottle, we got two glasses of a different wine served to us. We let them know that we’d asked for a bottle, which was then duly provided. We asked for a starter and some steaks. The food was good, the steaks were just perfect.Upon finishing our meal, i joined a long queue of people waiting to pay (or so I thought). But no, that was the take-away queue as well. There were two staff members at the second cash register, chatting away; but did not seem interested to receive any payments. Upon asking if I could settle the bill at their register.. Sure, Why not. To summarise, the food was good, but the service was sadly disappointing. There was a lady who actually seemed to know what was going on, and was sorting things out; but the rest of the staff seems very new and in need of training.
